One of our most beautiful, natural treasures
18 June 2020
Following the changes in permitted exercising and day travelling, we are happy to announce that Blackpool Sands is now partially open again! This means the beach, car parks, toilets, the takeaway counter and the beach shop are now open for visitors once more but we urge everyone to observe social distancing in order for us to remain open, no seating is available yet.
The Venus take away is open every day from 9am to 7pm, serving grass fed burgers, fish n chips, wraps, ice cream, fabulous bean coffees and much more. The Venus Beach shop is open every dry day from 10am to 5pm and watersports hire will be available from July 1st.
The Venus Café will open when Government guidelines allow – hopefully from July 4, updates to follow.
Payment for the car parks will need to be made by card.
Dogs are no longer permitted on the beach or in the car parks for the season to comply with the Blue Flag regulations.
Sadly, our main events have had to be postponed until 2021, this includes Tunes on the Sands and the Triathlon, but we are hopeful the beach cinema willl go ahead; this will be kept under review but check our events page for film titles, dates and time.
We are very grateful that the RNLI are to work with Blackpool Sands to offer our usual Lifeguard service for July and August.
We so look forward to seeing everybody, especially 2m apart!
