One of our most beautiful, natural treasures
24 May 2020
Following the changes in permitted exercising and day travelling, we are happy to announce that Blackpool Sands is now partially open again! This means the beach, car parks, toilets and the takeaway counter are now open for visitors once more but we urge everyone to observe social distancing in order for us to remain open.
Unfortunately there is no seating and the cafe and shop remain closed. Payment for the car parks will need to be made by card.
Dogs are still permitted until 31 May, no dogs will be allowed to enter from Monday 1 June onwards to comply with the Blue Flag regulations.
As soon as the situation with the cafe and shop changes, this page will be updated but we have been informed that the RNLI will be unable to provide Lifeguard cover for us this season.
Sadly, our main events have had to be postponed until 2021, this includes Tunes on the Sands and the Triathlon, but we are hopeful the beach cinema may still go ahead; this will be kept under review.
We so look forward to seeing everybody!
