One of our most beautiful, natural treasures
Set in an unspoilt, sheltered bay amongst evergreens and pines is Blue Flag awarded Blackpool Sands, a shingle beach located only 3 miles west of Dartmouth on the beautiful South Devon heritage coast in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). You will find us on the A379 coastal road between Dartmouth and Kingsbridge, TQ6 0RG.
The Venus Cafe is open every day (except Christmas day), plus a seasonal beach shop and take away.
Visit our events page for special dates over the summer; coming up in July we are hosting for its second year, our utterly amazing Music Festival – Tunes on the Sands – with top acts, over three days on 10th – 12th July 2020 – with camping available, all ticket sales from https://tunesonthesands.com/
Followed by three evenings of open-air cinema on 23rd July and 9th & 20th August – look on our events page for the full film listings, two each evening; an earlier film for the younger audiences followed by a different film for the whole family at 7.30pm. Being a Blue Flag awarded beach, dogs are not permitted on the beach or in the car parks from Saturday 21st March 2020 until Sunday 1st November 2020 inclusive.
During the summer you will find sand pits, a bathing raft, kayaks and paddle boards for hire, a range of delicious hot and cold food and a beach shop, we have something for all the family.
